Welcome to The Green Business Alliance

Studies show that more and more consumers are looking for sustainable options when shopping and dining. Right here in Collingswood a 2019 survey of local consumers showed that 84% would be more likely to order from restaurants who used sustainable packaging and  90% ranked sustainable packaging as important.

After conducting that survey Collingswood Green Team members got together and came up with the idea to create a Green Business Alliance here in town. With so many businesses already incorporating sustainability into thier busiensses models, the Green Team sought to find a way to help facilitate the sharing of ideas and support among local busiensses and also to market these busiensses to local eco-consious customers.  

The purpose of the Green Business Alliance is to assist businesses in achieving greater sustainability practices in thier operations through the implementation of the following Core Greening Principles: 

• SUSTAINABLE FOOD PRACTICES 
• WASTE & POLLUTION REDUCTION 
• WATER CONSERVATION 
• ENERGY EFFICIENCY 
• EMPLOYEE WELLNESS

By working together, we can strengthen the local economy, reduce waste, reduce emissions, and improve the overall sustainability of our town.
